The tuning of tha DECS ECU has started and the AFR, VE and ignition timing maps with temperature corrections have got some reasonable values. In the picture you can see the first test run from 0 to 200 km/h (0 to 124 mph). The quartermile took about 16.0 @ 89 mph (143 km/h)and the standing kilometre about 29.0 @ 114 mph (183 km/h). So, there is a lot to improve. I'm satisfied, though, that the boost (Map) stays nicely at around 7 psi (0.5 bar) and the air fuel ratio (AFR) is fairly stable under 11.4. The turbo also spools very good, it gives 3 psi (0.2 bar) at 1800 rpm in first gear.

I added a circulation pupm to the heater return hose to be able to cool the engine when tha car is not moving. The electrical fan may help a little, too. At least they seem to help when I drive in slow street traffic.

The auto transmission 722.4 got an oil and filter change. I also changed the 2-3 upshift spring kit part nr A126 270 44 77 (cost 8 euros). The spring kit is should make the upshift from second to third s little firmewr. There is a good story about the change job over there. After a short test drive it seems like the change was useful.

I was at Alastaro circuit on saturday 2010-05-29 at the V8 Magazine quartermile test runs. It was a rainy day and I finally got on the strip at about 15.00 after the FHRA guys had dried the strip for two hours. I could make three runs making new records every time, then the rain started again and the strip was closed. The best run was  14.869 s @ 95.11 MPH (153.06 km/h). The best run in 2009 with the KE-Jetronic was  15.152 @ 91,98 (148.03). The boost was about 11-13 psi (0,75-0,85 bar). The mixture was a little rich above 5500 RPM. The kickdown did not work, I propably messed the wires some how at the oil change. The estimated power on the wheels is 198 hp using a weight of 2954 lbs (1340 kg). The actual weight is propably a little higher.

The best run of the year was the 2010-08-28 driven 14,754@95,15MPH (153,03km/h).
